Nine functions are covered by ten pre-set programs, including a dedicated pre-heat: air fry, roast, bake, grill, reheat, dry, frozen, warm and proof. Each sets the temperature and picks the right motor speed from the five available, so just choose a dish and begin.

Set the temperature anywhere from 30°C to 230°C, from gentle proofing and slow dehydrating all the way up to a hard, fast grill at the top end. One appliance covers that whole range, so there is no guesswork and no reason to heat the main oven at all for one tray.

The nonstick ceramic basket and crisper plate are both fully dishwasher safe, so they can go straight in once you have finished serving up. More often than not, though, a quick wipe of the slick ceramic surface is all an everyday meal will actually need.
